A MARBLE FEMALE BUST BY NAUM ARONSON, RUSSIAN, TITLED ”A VEILED WOMAN” - Naum Aronson, a marble sculpture depicting a young woman's head under a veil. Signed by the artist ”N. Aronson”. Provenance: A NYC Private Collection, since 2019. Naum Aronson (1872-1943) was a Russian-born sculptor who worked mainly in France. He studied art at the Vilna Art School before moving to Paris where he would live and work for the next 50 years. Aronson is known principally for his busts of well-known people, including Ludwig van Beethoven, Louis Pasteur, Leo Tolstoy, Grigori Rasputin and Vladimir Lenin.
