A CARVED MARBLE BUST BY BORIS LOVET-LORSKI, 1920 - Boris Lovet-Lorski, a carved marble Art Deco sculpture depicting a tilted head. Signed ”Lorski”. Mounted on a wooden base. Boris Lovet-Lorski (1894-1973) was a Lithuanian and American sculptor and graphic artist. He studied at the Imperial Academy of Art in St. Petersburg and moved to the United States in 1920, settling in New York City. Boris Lovet-Lorski became an American citizen in 1925.
