A THOMAS FRANÇOIS CARTIER (1879-1943) FRENCH BRONZE HOUND SCULPTURE, C. 1890 - A French bronze of a hound on the hunt sculpted by the Marseillais artist Thomas François Cartier (1879-1943). Cartier was an exhibitor at the Salons des Paris from at least 1904, producing a wide variety of sculpture in the animalier tradition. The piece is signed to the base by the artist and stamped with the foundry mark 'A. GRANOUX ET CIE', a firm in Marseille. Please make all inquiries before bidding.
