A PERSIAN CARVED-WOOD LIDDED CASKET, QAJAR PERIOD, 19TH CENTURY - This is a finely carved wooden dome-lidded box, likely a decorative chest or jewelry box, from Persia, Qajar Period, given the intricate floral and bird motifs and the arched panel design, which are common in traditional Persian woodwork. The birds are stylized and framed within Gothic-like arches, adding a rhythmic and ornate touch to the overall aesthetic. These chests are made from teak or rosewood and are hand-carved.
