A RUSSIAN ENGRAVED SILVER LIDDED CAVIAR SERVING BOWL, 1891 - Russian silver serving dish with a removable lid, resting on a wide flaring foot with four ball feet. The surface is entirely hand-engraved with geometric and foliate bands in Russian Revival style. The body is flanked by two elaborate scroll handles, pierced and shaped in a stylized plant motif. The lid is topped with a finely pierced and engraved foliate finial in stylized geometric form. Hallmarks: 84 Russian silver standard, kokoshnik, 1891. Weight: 17.5 o., 497g.
