A RUSSIAN GILT-SILVER AND CUT-GLASS CENTERPIECE BY BRAGIN - Russian silver centerpiece with a cut crystal insert raised on four hoof-form feet. The handles are modeled as horse heads with bridles, flowing manes, and stylized scrolling reins terminating in rosettes. The bowl's rim band is decorated with an engraved crossed-ribbon motif interspersed between the handle mounts. Hallmarks: 84 Russian silver 84 standard, kokoshnik, ”A. Condition: The silver retains a well-defined repoussé and cast decoration, including fluted sides, hoof-form feet, and horse-head handles. The gilded interior shows notable surface wear and rubbing, with the gold wash faded in high-contact areas, particularly the basin center. The exterior silver has a natural, even patina, with some light tarnish and small abrasions consistent with age and handling. No evidence of significant dents or repairs.
