A LARGE RUSSIAN SILVER-GILT PRESENTATION CHARGER WITH IMPERIAL DOUBLE-HEADED EAGLE, 18TH CENTURY - Russian parcel-gilt silver ceremonial dish. Central medallion features a double-headed Imperial eagle, crowned and holding orb and sceptre, with a central escutcheon bearing Saint George slaying the dragon, the arms of Moscow. The rim is broadly chased and gilded, decorated with alternating mythological figures in roundels, scrolling acanthus foliage and strapwork executed in high relief.
