AN UNUSUAL RUSSIAN BLACK SEA REGION DAGGER KIDJAL, 19/20 CC. - A fine silver-mounted Caucasian dagger (kindjal) with an engraved blade embellished with silver inlay. Carved hilt. The scabbard is constructed of two wooden scales covered in dark-brown leather with two engraved silver fittings covered with niello. Ca. 1900. Please make all inquiries before bidding. The scabbard leather is a later replacement but it is old.
