AN OTTOMAN TURKISH TREBIZOND CORAL-MOUNTED DAGGER WITH GOLD INLAY, 19TH CEN. - A finely crafted Ottoman Turkish dagger from the Trebizond region mounted with gilt-brass to the hilt and scabbard which has been decorated with extremely intricate chased and molded floral patterning in addition to polished coral and turquoise cabochons set within lines of beadwork. The curved, single-fullered blade is applied with gold damascene inscriptions in Arabic encased within floral patterning. Ottoman Empire, 19th century. Please make all inquiries before bidding.
