A FRENCH HUSSAR OFFICER GILDED SABER, 19TH CENTURY - Stained wooden grip with a checkered pattern. Silver-plated brass mounts (slightly worn), German-style single hilt, cast-brass pommel and a curved quillon. Curved blade with flat spine and hollow engraved and one-third gilded forte. The brass scabbard (remains of silver plating), with two flat fittings and two loose suspension rings. Consulate Period. Please make all inquiries before bidding.
