A GERMAN SMALLSWORD WITH AGRICULTURAL MOTIFS, PIERCED STEEL HILT, C. 1720 - A German smallsword with a triangular blade and a beautifully decorated silver hilt with basket-weave pierced design to the guard and pommel, as well as chased farming motifs, including a variety of tools such as a shovel, watering can, and scythe, amongst others. The grip is wrapped in metal bands and braided steel wire set between two Turk's head knots. Germany, c. 1720. Please make all inquiries before bidding. All lots are sold ”as-is”, refer to our T&C.
