AN OTTOMAN EMPIRE PALA OR KLIJ SWORD WITH A WOOTZ BLADE, 19TH CEN. - Oriental Pala sword with brass mounts. A four-pointed star-shaped hilt formed by the crossguard and the two quillons ending in faceted terminals and riveted marine bone plates. Pala-type blade in Damascus, gutter and strong counter-edge. Wooden scabbard with three brass fittings and brass stitching. Two loose suspension rings. The first third of the 19th century. Please make all inquiries before bidding.
