Item Overview
Description:
Modeled as a seated Harlequin figure in a red doublet, blue breeches, striped stockings, and green hood, supporting three tall cornucopia-form trumpet vases edged in gilt and feathered black decoration. The rocaille base was further enriched in gilding. The verso is marked with an impressed Aich factory mark (Aich Porcelain Manufactory in Bohemia, active in the mid-19th century).
The subject matter, a brightly painted Harlequin or Jester supporting three gilt-edged trumpet vases, is consistent with Romantic and Rococo revival figural groups of the 1840s–1850s.
