Item Overview
Description:
A fine example of Art Nouveau porcelain, a centerpiece or figural vase, made by Royal Dux Bohemia around the late 19th to early 20th century (circa 1890–1910). The centerpiece is modeled as two young women in flowing green and white gowns, styled in the organic and romantic aesthetic of the Art Nouveau period, holding up a large stylized shell or blossom-shaped vessel. The entire piece is shaped with flowing, naturalistic lines reminiscent of vines, roots, and petals, consistent with the Art Nouveau style (Jugendstil).
The pink triangle mark is the hallmark of Royal Dux Bohemia (established 1853 in Duchcov, Bohemia, then part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire). The impressed number "768" and painted marks (like the green "5") are typical of production markings from this factory. The blue circular stamp and impressed numerals further authenticate it as early 20th-century Royal Dux output.
