Description:
A large German stein produced by Villeroy & Boch's famous Mettlach factory, wrapped in a scene of tavern patrons bowling or playing skittles, the bottom ringed with German text which translates to "The good man is praiseworthy who knocks down all nine three times". The underside of the piece bears the usual Mettlach ink stamp in green, in addition to various impressed marks including the Abbey mark, the Mettlach VB mark, the 'ges, gesch' copyright mark, the form number 2956, and the 07 date code for 1907, and a number 24.
