Description:
Of lobed and scalloped form with twin pierced handles, the central well decorated with the armorial shield of Rouen, featuring a lamb passant beneath three fleur-de-lis, surmounted by a coronet, all flanked by leafy sprays and a blue ribbon inscribed ROUEN. The border is richly painted with scrolling foliate, floral, and shell motifs in polychrome enamels of blue, yellow, green, and iron red. The underside with printed and painted marks, including BON SECOURS LES ROUEN, decorator’s cypher, and impressed factory mark.
Marks: Painted blue decorator’s cypher, numbered 1404 XXXI, inscribed BON SECOURS LES ROUEN; impressed L mark.
