A JAPANESE MIXED METAL LIDDED BOX, MEIJI PERIOD (LATE 19TH CENTURY) - Of rectangular form with rounded edges, raised on four bracket feet, the lid finely worked in mixed-metal relief with bamboo stalks and leaves in copper and shakudō, set against a gold-toned ground with Mount Fuji in the distance. The sides of the box plain, with a hinged cover opening to a gilt interior. The base engraved with a Japanese signature. Please make all inquiries before bidding.
