A SILVERED BRONZE FIGURE OF A DOG, CONTINENTAL, CIRCA 1890 - Naturalistically cast as a seated long-haired lap dog, likely a Pekingese or Tibetan spaniel, with finely chased fur and inset glass eyes. The figure is modeled in repose, turning its head alertly to one side. The underside shows hollow casting with an opening and an old securing bolt. Retains traces of original silvering, now softly patinated with areas of wear exposing the bronze. Please make all inquiries before bidding. All lots are sold ”as-is”, refer to our T&C. Condition: Overall good condition with age-consistent patina. Silvered finish rubbed and worn in areas, especially on high points, revealing bronze beneath. Minor casting flaws and wear to the surface, with light oxidation visible in recesses. Inset eyes intact. Structurally sound with no significant losses or repairs noted.
