The composition depicts a white and black dog, likely a terrier or bull breed, standing alert within a rustic stable interior. The animal wears a black collar with an oval brass tag. The background features wooden planks, straw, and a stable broom, emphasizing the everyday rural setting. Frame with wear, rubbing, and old repairs, but structurally stable. Canvas appears to be relined to panel/board backing in the past. Presents well overall, retaining strong color and detail in the dog’s depiction.
