Signed lower right: 'Eug. Von Kramer, Munich.' Note: Eugen von Kramer was probably self-taught, created mainly small-format animal pictures in the tradition of August Schleich, called Schleichgustl (1814 - 1865), patron of his orphaned brother-in-law Max Thedy (1858-1924), active in Munich.
