A JAPANESE BRONZE MODEL OF A HORSE, MEIJI PERIOD (1868–1912) - Well-cast bronze naturalistically modeled as a spirited horse in mid-stride with one foreleg raised, the head turned slightly to the left, and the tail swept to the side. The figure is mounted on an elongated oval hardwood base with chiseled edges. The underside with an impressed rectangular seal mark and remnants of an old paper label.
