A PAIR OF GILT-BRONZE CANDLESTICKS, 18TH CENTURY, WITH D.D.G. MARKS - Each with a scalloped drip pan above a tulip-form nozzle, raised on a waisted and fluted stem with finely tooled decoration, and set on a stepped, lobed circular base enriched with chased foliate motifs. The undersides were engraved D.D.G. with additional numbers and workman’s marks. Retaining much of the original fire gilding with areas of wear consistent with age.
