The painted paper leaf finely depicting an elegant fête galante with a gentleman and ladies in 18th-century costume seated in a pastoral landscape, accompanied by musical instruments, flowers, and a lamb; the mother-of-pearl guard sticks with dark pierced and gilt decoration; housed in a demi-lune giltwood case with glass front and pedestal base, richly carved with acanthus and scrollwork.
