A BRONZE FIGURAL INKWELL, NUDE WOMAN WITH A BOOK AND PEN, FRANCE, 19TH CENTURY - A finely cast patinated bronze figural inkwell depicting a seated nude female allegorical figure, leaning gracefully against an open book while extending one arm upward holding a pen. The figure rests upon a shaped base with foliate scroll and mask decoration, the inkwell well concealed within the central plinth. The base is inscribed Roety & Compagnie Fct. (for the Parisian foundry). Rich brown patina with areas of lighter highlights. Please make all inquiries before bidding. All lots are sold ”as-is”, refer to our T&C.
