Description:
Of large oval form, finely hand-painted with panels of romantic courting couples and landscapes within scrolling gilt rococo cartouches, all surrounded by abundant floral sprays on a white and pink ground. The lid has a central figural scene, the interior plain white, and it is mounted with a brass rim and hinged clasp.
Mark: Underside with blue underglaze Dresden mark (crossed swords-style variant) and incised cross.
