Item Overview
Description:
Of deep, rounded form, the exterior is vividly enameled with a continuous scene of boys at play in a garden landscape beneath trees and ornamental rocks, some carrying lanterns and drums. The reverse features an inscribed poetic verse in black calligraphy, accompanied by two red seal marks. Borders at the rim and base are decorated with underglaze blue bands of flowering prunus blossoms against a cracked-ice ground. The base is left unglazed.
