Item Overview
Description:
Eight-pointed silver star, faceted rays, the center medallion: Reads "Praemiando Incitat" ("He encourages by rewarding") in Latin, with the Saint’s cipher in the center. Reverse: fully hallmarked with "84" silver mark, "Keibel" (Albert Keibel, St. Petersburg, 1899-1908). Gold Maltese cross with enameled red arms and Imperial eagles in the quadrants. The center medallion features the red-enameled intertwined "SS" cipher of Saint Stanislaus, surrounded by green laurel and a white enamel border. The loop is hallmarked with the zolotniki fineness number "56" (14K gold). Wide red sash with white borders, as required for First Class presentation. This was worn across the body with the cross suspended at the hip.
