BADGE ”FOR GOOD STUDIES, FOR EXEMPLARY DISCIPLINE. XV YEARS OF OCTOBER”. USSR, 1932 - Instituted in 1932 to commemorate the 15th Anniversary of the October Revolution. Bronze with copper-plating and painted details. The obverse shows an open book with the Roman numeral XV and the dates 1917–1932, surmounted by a red star and encircled by the motto ”For Good Studies, For Exemplary Discipline”. Below is a tractor and factory scene symbolizing industrial and agricultural progress. Reverse with screwback fitting, the screwplate inscribed ”DSO Burevestnik” (Workshop of the DSO ”Stormy Petrel”). Material: Steel, copper-plating, paint. Weight: 7.51 g. Dimensions: 40.87 × 30.58 mm. Notes: Produced by the sports society Burevestnik in 1932. Such badges were awarded to students excelling in study and discipline during the early Soviet educational reforms.
