Circular medal, bronze-gilt, struck to commemorate the 50th anniversary (1854–1904) of the Imperial Russian Society for the Promotion of Horse Breeding (Императорское общество поощрения коннозаводства). Obverse: Large letter “L” beneath the Imperial crown and double-headed eagle, with shield of St. George on the eagle’s breast; around, inscription in Russian: “В ПАМЯТЬ 50-ЛЕТНАГО ЮБИЛЕЯ ИМПЕРАТОРСКАГО С. П. Б. ОБЩ. ПОЩР. КОННОЗАВОДСТВА” (In Commemoration of the 50th Jubilee of the Imperial St. Petersburg Society for the Promotion of Horse Breeding).
