AN 1814 BOURBON RESTORATION AWARD CITATION, REIGN OF LOUIS XVIII - A 19th-century French brevet (military commission or award certificate), richly illustrated and issued in the name of Charles-Philippe de France, Comte d'Artois, later King Charles X. It specifically honors a soldier named Bottier, a corporal in the 1st Regiment of the Garde Nationale. Title: Au Nom du Roi (“In the Name of the King”). Issued by Charles-Philippe de France, then Colonel-General of the Garde Nationale. Recipient: Bottier (first name possibly Emmanuel), Corporal 1er Comp(agnie), 1ère Légion. Date: 29 November 1814, shortly after the Bourbon Restoration. Content: Recognizes service, campaigns, and injuries (sections labeled Services, Campagnes, Actions et Blessures).
