A RUSSIAN GILT-SILVER TEA GLASS HOLDER WITH PAN-SLAVIC STYLE HANDLE - Of cylindrical form with slightly flaring base and plain polished body, featuring a finely beaded rim and a distinctive architectural handle in the Pan-Slavic taste. The handle is constructed with angular and stepped geometric elements, terminating in turned finials that reflect the bold, ornamental vocabulary of the late Imperial period. The interior retains a rich original gilding. Hallmarks: maker’s mark ”СА” (Cyrillic), 84 silver standard, St. Petersburg town mark, assayer’s mark ”Л.О.” (Cyrillic), 1893 date mark. Weight: 4.6 oz. (approx. 130 g.) Note: This elegant tea glass holder epitomizes the Pan-Slavic aesthetic that flourished in Russian decorative arts during the late 19th century.
