A RUSSIAN PARCEL-GILT SILVER TEA GLASS HOLDER WITH PAN-SLAVIC STYLE ETCHING - Of classical cylindrical form on a spreading circular foot, the body finely engraved with stylized geometric ornament and a central laurel wreath tied with a ribbon bow. The angular handle with a flat thumbpiece. Parcel gilded interior and exterior. Hallmarks: Maker’s mark ‘??’ (Cyrillic); illegible assayer’s mark; 84 silver proof; St. George Moscow city mark; 1883 date mark. Weight: 4 oz. (approx. 113 g.) Note: This example belongs to the characteristic Pan-Slavic Revival style that flourished in Moscow silversmithing workshops of the 1870s–1880s.
