A RUSSIAN GILT AND HAND-PAINTED PORCELAIN COFFEE CUP AND SAUCER, 19 C. - A finely decorated cylindrical porcelain coffee cup, hand-painted with a continuous floral garland of pink roses and blue forget-me-nots with gilt foliage on a white ground. The rim, handle, and foot are richly accented in burnished gold, and the interior is fully gilded. Typical of late Imperial Russian porcelain workshops, likely associated with the Kuznetsov or Popov factories, known for similar floral and gilt designs catering to the bourgeois market.
