A LARGE RUSSIAN IMPERIAL PORCELAIN FACTORY CUP AND SAUCER, 1906/1912 - A fine porcelain tea cup with matching saucer, produced by the Imperial Porcelain Factory during the reign of Nicholas II (1894–1917). The cup and saucer are decorated with the Russian Imperial double-headed eagle, finely painted in black and polychrome enamels, and edged with a delicate gilded rim. The cups is generously proportioned, reflecting the luxurious service wares of the late Imperial period. Imperial Porcelain Factory, St. Petersburg, ca. 1906 through 1912. Marked on the verso by the manufacturer in green ink. The Imperial Porcelain Factory was the official porcelain manufacturer for the Russian court, producing tableware, diplomatic gifts, and commemorative pieces.
