A PAIR OF RUSSIAN HAND-PAINTED AND GILT CHAMPAGNE GLASSES - A pair of finely hand-blown and painted clear glass champagne flutes, each with a faceted lower bowl and slender stem rising to a circular foot. The upper registers are decorated with delicate gilt and black enamel ornament, featuring vessels and scrolling grapevine motifs alternating with floral sprays. The design is characteristic of late Imperial Russian taste, recalling the work of factories such as the Imperial Glassworks or private St. Petersburg ateliers circa 1880–1900.
