A LARGE RUSSIAN HAND-PAINTED AND GILT PORCELAIN CUP BY KORNILOV - Of cylindrical form, the front finely painted with the Imperial arms of St. Petersburg surmounted by the Romanov crown and the dates 1703–1903, the reverse with the gilt cipher beneath the Imperial crown. The sides decorated with hand-painted views of the Neva River, the Peter and Paul Fortress, and St. Isaac Cathedral at sunset with the red clouds above, and waves below. Gilt rim and detailing throughout. Factory mark: printed polychrome Kornilov Brothers St. Petersburg coat-of-arms under base. Please make all inquiries before bidding.
