A RUSSIAN PARCEL-GILT SILVER TEA POT - Of lobed baluster form resting on four scroll feet, the spout and handle with engraved foliate motifs, the domed hinged lid surmounted by a naturalistic flower-form finial. The handle fitted with bone insulators. A refined and elegant example of mid 19th century Russian domestic silverware combining sculptural form with delicate chased ornament. Hallmarks: Maker’s mark ”IM” (Latin script), illegible assayer’s mark, 84 silver standard, St. Petersburg city mark. Weight: 21.15 oz. (599.6 g.) Please make all inquiries before bidding.
