A RUSSIAN PARCEL-GILT SILVER TEAPOT WITH BONE HANDLE BY GUBKIN, 1844 - A finely crafted Russian teapot with a delicate carved bone handle and a lobed body. The lid being decorated with foliate motifs and affixed with a sculpted flower as a handle. The spout of the pot is decorated with molded acanthus leaves and other foliate designs. The flared base of the pot is decorated similarly to the lid. Hallmarks: 'Gubkin' maker's mark, 'AK' cyrillic assayer's mark, 1844 date mark, 84 silver proof, St George Moscow mark.
