A CONTINENTAL PARCEL-GILT SILVER PINEAPPLE LIDDED GOBLET - A finely modelled and richly detailed silver goblet of imaginative pineapple form, the body composed of overlapping lobes, the interior gilded. The removable lid surmounted by a curled hook finial, the vessel supported by a cast figure of a gentleman in 18th-century attire bending beneath the weight of the fruit, resting one hand on a cane and the other upholding the goblet. The circular base embossed with fruit and floral ornament. Engraved around the rim: ”To dad, on the day of his 50th birthday, from Vladimir and Valya. 21st November, 1947.” Hallmarks: Illegible hallmarks. Weight: 16.2 oz. (459.3 g.)
