A RUSSIAN ART NOUVEAU PARCEL-GILT SILVER CANDY BASKET, C. 1900 - A Russian parcel-gilt silver candy basket of a rounded form with a flat bottom, the sides of the basket being decorated with delicately molded floral motifs in the characteristic art nouveau style. A single curved handle is attached via swiveling hinges at the top of the basket's sides. Imperial Russia, c. 1900. Hallmarks: 'SA' cyrillic maker's mark, kokoshnik. Weight: 6.55 oz., (185.7 g.)
