A SILVER-MOUNTED CRYSTAL FRUIT BOWL, FRANCE, CA. 1890 - The oval crystal body is finely cut with vertical fluting and a star-cut base, mounted with a pierced silver gilt rim of intertwined laurel leaves symbolizing victory and honor. The swing handle is formed of four ribbon-tied silver rods joined at floral rosettes. The mounts exhibit delicate chased detail and retain a warm period gilt patina. Hallmarks: French Minerva head silver standard mark (indicating .950 silver), and a lozenge maker’s mark (unidentified). Please make all inquiries before bidding.
