AN OIL ON CANVAS PAINTING OF THE SACRED FAMILY AFTER RAPHAEL, 1580S - Oil on canvas attached to a board painting depicting the Holy Family. The composition portrays the Virgin Mary, Saint Joseph, and the Christ Child in an intimate outdoor setting. The Virgin, clothed in a red gown and blue mantle, is seated on the right, gently guiding the infant Jesus toward Joseph, who kneels opposite her in a brown and blue robe and holds a wooden staff. The Christ Child, rendered with delicate modeling and lifelike warmth, reaches out to Joseph in a gesture of affection and blessing. Behind the figures rises a tall palm tree, symbolizing divine protection and purity, while the distant landscape with soft blue hills evokes tranquility and spiritual harmony. The golden light illuminating the figures enhances their serenity and emphasizes the sacred intimacy of the moment. This painting is an Italian copy of a painting by Raphael, executed in 1580s.
