The group of works traditionally attributed to the anonymous artist, also known as the Maestro delle montagne azzurre, is often heterogeneous and not always coherent. It is likely that this production can be traced back to a single workshop in which several masters devoted themselves to producing decorative works, and that differences in quality and artistry exist depending on the commission.
