A LAWRENCE FANE (AMERICAN, 1933–2008), ABSTRACT BRONZE SCULPTURE - A dynamic abstract bronze sculpture by the American artist Lawrence Fane, characterized by smooth, interlocking organic forms that rise vertically from a narrow stem into a complex, folded composition. The work reflects Fane’s signature style, balancing architectural structure with biomorphic rhythm, suggestive of natural growth or unfolding movement. The composition demonstrates the artist’s refined understanding of mass, void, and balance, with highly polished surfaces contrasting with areas of subtle tool work. Its vertical thrust and sense of inner motion are hallmarks of Fane’s postmodern sculptural language, active from the 1960s onward. Signed FANE on base. Cast bronze with golden-brown patina. Mounted on a two-tier black stone base. Please make all inquiries before bidding. All lots are sold ”as-is”, refer to our T&C. Helios Auctions offers in-house shipping.
