A MOUNTED COSSACK WITH HIS SABER DRAWN, RUSSIAN WATERCOLOR AND GOUACHE, CA. 1900–1915 - A dynamic depiction of a Cossack cavalryman riding at speed along a country road, holding his saber raised and dressed in traditional attire with a fur-lined coat and red cap. Another mounted figure is faintly suggested in the background, adding a sense of movement and depth. The work is executed in watercolor with touches of gouache and ink, signed lower right.
