Signed by the artist and dated '90 on the lower right. Note: Jehangir Sabavala was one of India's most distinguished artist, As one of the post-colonial Indian painters, Sabavala staked his claim to a modernity of his own while maintaining a close relationship with the currents of international art practice. He is known for atmospheric, geometric, abstract painting, landscape, figure. Provenance: according to the late collector and owner's son, the artwork is a part of the owner's late father's inheritance (Mirza Sami Baig Born, born: July 1, 1949, Hyd, India, passed away in India in 2013), which includes over 2500 artworks from India.
