A LIMOGES PORCELAIN HAND-PAINTED PLAQUE DEPICTING KNIGHT - Limoges enamel plaque depicts the Man With The Golden Helmet, 1650 based on Rembrandt's painting. The figure is seated and is turned slightly to the right; his eyes are cast down. The knight is wearing a dark coat with reddish sleeves. On his head, there is a richly gilt helmet with ear flaps and a plume of short red feathers. Executed by Camille Faure (1874 - 1956) who was active/lived in France. Camille Faure is known for his Art Deco enamel vases. The artist's signature is at the lower right, Limoges, France. Please make all inquiries before bidding.
