A METAL HAND-PAINTED FIGURE OF A DONKEY AND A BOY - A charming cast metal figural group depicting a boy standing beside a donkey. The donkey is modeled with textured fur and fitted with a bridle, saddle, and packs painted in polychrome tones of red and green. The boy, shown in a long belted robe and red cap, rests his hand over the donkey’s back in a natural pose. The surface retains much of its original painted decoration, with areas of expected rubbing and age wear consistent with handling. Continental, late 19th–early 20th century.
