AN EARLY 20TH-CENTURY HAND-CARVED WOODEN GROUP FIGURE OF A SHEPHERD WITH A GOAT - German early 20th century hand-carved wooden group figure of a shepherd and a milkmaid with a goat in folk costume of the Schwalm, Hesse. Executed with rich details, especially on the animal fur and ground. The wood is probably from the Black Forest and the overall artistic quality and style match the folk carvings from Central Europe, between Bohemia in the East and the South of the Netherlands in today's Limburg.
