A PAIR OF LIMITED EDITION BRONZE SWANS WITH SILVERED AND GILT DETAILS, 20TH CENTURY - Each naturalistically modeled swan is shown gracefully turning its neck, the finely cast feathers with silvered surface, the beaks parcel-gilt. Both figures rest on a textured bronze base with dark patina, simulating water and reeds. Each base is inscribed with an edition number, here 314/500, and bearing a sculptor’s monogram or foundry mark. This pair of decorative swan sculptures was issued as part of a limited edition of 500, appealing both as naturalistic animalier works and as collectable modern bronzes.
